Where are the tropical rainforests?



                                                         OUR PRECIOUS ENVIRONMENT

Tropical rainforests are those forests found in a wide area along.The equator:in central Africa and South America as well as Southeast and Northeast Asia.These forests contains wide range of trees and animals .They are called tropical rainforests because of heavy rain in that places.There is hight temprature because the sun is hottest at the equator causing water to evaporate resulting a lot of
rainfall and form rainclouds. Usually these rainforests are greenish and flourish due to huge rain .
Huge trees and fibrous plants is the main attraction for these forests.This is the home for apes ,tigers,
poisonous reptiles such as snakes and frogs;and monkeys .The animals live their since the evolution of these forests and they were thankful for them .
Unfortunately,the forests and the animals inhabiting them are under threat by human activities.

NOTE::The leaf canopy of rainforests is so thick that hardly any light reaches the ground.

  • Rainforests cover 6% of the total earth's surface,but have more than 50% of world's plant and animals.
  • There are only 800 mountains gorillas left in the world.
  • There is 12 m rainfall every year at the wettest place on earth ,in Europe average rainfall is about 60 cm.
  • In India there is a place cherapuzi where there is average rainfall about 460inch.
  • Some of the longest snakes living in the world are found in rainforests.
